Apparently, this girl.
Sunday, I barely made it to the BodyPump class.
Barely.
When I got there I was #8 (and the last one) on the wait list.
I wrote about this workout here though.
Later that night, I found a full-body workout on Pinterest.
{Feel free to Follow Me on the good ole Pinterest.}
So, I headed to my work gym since it was Prison Yard time (you know, the time where everyone and there mother is at the gym) at all my favorite gyms.
I only did this workout once instead of the suggested twice.
After just one round, my entire body was shaking and I'd reached muscle failure.
I did find out I'd reached muscle failure when I attempted to do it twice.
Yesterday, was C25K day. However, because of the ridiculous amounts of snow dumped on us this past Saturday and a little on Sunday, none of my trails outside were clear.
Dreadmill it is then.
Instead of following C25K on the dreadmill, because it sucks balls, I decided to just run it out.
I ran at a 12:00 pace for 20 minutes straight.
After that, my head got the better of me and I decreased it to 4.3 (I didn't even look to see what that pace is, just know this: slow). I even walked for a minute. I finished slow, but only walked a minute.
I'm okay with that. My body hurt from the day before.
I also went back to work last night after being off on vacation for 7 full days.
I sit at a desk for 12 hours.
I can't get away for long.
Quick breaks here and there.
Do you know what sitting for 12 hours does to your body after working out like that 2 days in a row?
It hurts.
I was in so much pain last night.
Like I knew I needed to stretch but that stretching would hurt also.
It was a good pain though.
A pain I'm proud of.
Today, I decided to make my "off" day.
I'll hit it back up Wednesday night at our work gym with a co-worker for Upper body & Cardio.
Saturday is the 3rd 5k race of my goal {One 5k Race A Month for 12 Months}
It's the Bunny Bolt.
I'm pretty excited.
It's been forever since my last 5k race!
I'm also craving Reese's Cups!! o_O
Thank you, monthly friend.
It makes me happy to know you remind me each month that you are indeed there for me.

Wow that's some dedication! Nice Work hun. I like the sound of the one 5k a month for 12 months! I would love to do something like that, that's if I can find a 5k to do each month ha ha.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful day!
Love Gi
xx
Thanks, Gi! I appreciate the kind words. I actually got the idea from another blogger to do one 5K race a month for 12 months. I thought it'd keep me on track to running more and it has. :)
DeleteWhew, that made me tired! I have never heard anyone call the witching hour at the gym...Prison Yard Time. Hilarious (and don't mind if I use that, too). I did one of those Pinterest workouts once and I was sweating bullets after 15 minutes. It said do it three times and I could only get through two rounds. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteI'm finally stopping by from Spring Training!

Haha, I absolutely do not mind if you use the Prison Yard Time. :) Thanks for stopping by!
