{New Workouts}

I'm not sure why but I have most definitely not been interested in going to my gym.
I am still running about 2-3 times a week but that's been it since June.
I'm not sure exactly what happened but I just do not want to go.
Possibly from taking 4 classes last term?
I'm not sure but it's not cool.

To counter that, I decided to try out some workouts I can do at home.
Yesterday, I gave this workout a whirl.

Lunge with rotation (right foot back, twist left) - 10/3
Reverse wood chop 10/3
Single leg dead lift 10/3
Side plank    45sec/3

It wasn't bad at all.
I also decided to see how these moves were from the Prevention website.

The Wall Bridge

Windshield Wipers

Toe Reaches

Wall Scissors

 Knee Press

Yesterday I only did basically one of each of those moves just to see how they felt.
Today, I am pretty good and sore. Of course, that's primarily from the other stuff I did yesterday.
I also went on a 45 minute walk with the dogs.

Today, I decided to combine the 2 exercises. Instead of doing 3 sets though, I did 2 sets of 10 reps.
It definitely felt good!
Later this evening I'll go for my run.

Speaking of run...
I decided to sign-up for the Spartyka Wounded Warrior 5k.
This means I'll be doing 2 races for the month of September but I'm okay with that as supporting the Wounded Warrior Program is such a good cause!
It's going to be in Colorado Springs, which is about an hour and a half from where I live in Denver, but it will totally be worth the drive!

If you're curious about the the Wounded Warrior Project, check out their webpage.  I think they are doing great things. This project helped my friends brother when he was injured recently.
