{Fall Approved}

Y'all. Oh. My. Word.

I found the best fall outfit at Charming Charlie yesterday.

It's a tunic-like striped dress.  I didn't get a chance to try it on in the store so took a chance and just bought it anyway. Normally, I hate the way these type of dresses look on me.  I feel like they extenuate every ounce of fat on my body.  I bought a floral scarf to wear with it. I had a vision of what I expected when I bought the scarf and dress and boy did it ever live up to those expectations. I instantly tried them on once I got home.

I {love} this outfit.

It's super comfortable and I love all the colors in the scarf.

I cannot wait to wear this come Fall.

I also got a few great shirts from Stein Mart, Old Navy, and the Gap the other day.

Everything from Old Navy was on super sale and I got great prices for them all. I love the shorts; they have cute little pink flamingos on them!! :) I wore those yesterday with a navy blue t-shirt.

Well, I think that's all the fashion for one day.

I'm just so excited for the fall.

I have all the basic pieces now plus some great pieces I already own.

{Charming Charlie, you light up my life}

Charming Charlie. What a great place. Honestly, part of me does not like this place because there's so much to see that it can be quite overwhelming. They separate their items by color. They sell jewelry, purses, shoes, and clothing. If you can think of a color, this place has it. The one thing they do not sell are plain pieces.

If anyone follows me on Pinterest, then you may have seen this shirt I pinned from Very Jane.

I fell in love as soon as I saw this shirt but got to the Very Jane website too late! It was completely sold out and I was pretty bummed. I even went to Ruby Bloom Boutique, the original site selling the shirt. Nada. Mother trucker.

So, can you imagine my happiness when I saw this shirt at Charming Charlie's?!

It's not exactly the same but it will do for sure. I cannot wait to wear this shirt with a pair of skinny jeans and brown boots. *Daydreaming of Fall*  The stripes are navy, by the way. They look black in the picture though.

I also snagged the cutest little owl ring and bird necklace.

 

I suppose that's it for now. I've got school work to get to. Yay.

                               

{Family Visit}

My mom and aunt came to visit me this past weekend. I'd asked them to since I have some time off and they were able to come.  It was a pretty nice visit! Saturday night we went to Toby Keith's Bar and Grill and they loved it. I love that place and I thought they would as well. I was hoping a band would be playing but it was UFC night so no band.

Sunday we got tickets to Avery Brewing company's 20 year anniversary party in Boulder, Colorado. You get six beers and BBQ with your ticket. Oh man, they had tons of delicious beers to chose from and the BBQ was so delicious!  Well worth it! My friends/co-workers were there and we got to hang out with them. It was definitely good times.

Monday is when I went to my Dr's appointment for the high cholesterol results. We shopped around after that at Charming Charlies. If you've never been to one, I highly recommend it! They have tons of jewelry, purses, shoes, and clothes to chose from. It's all at decent prices as well! I got some good finds from there as well, which is worth talking about in another post!  :)  I also took them to a shop called St. Nick's in Littleton, CO. It's the best shop around if you like Christmas. They sell all kinds of ornaments you can possibly think of. I like going to just walk around and take in the Christmas feel and smell.

Overall, it was a good, yet busy, visit. We relaxed in the mornings and evenings.
