{Weigh In Wednesday}

button

147 lbs?

That just doesn't seem right.

I ate like crap over the weekend and the last two days.
I haven't worked out since my 5K run Saturday morning.

I'll check it out at the gym when I go later today.

What I plan on doing today is running outside since it's supposed to warm-up significantly. I'll also head to the gym for possibly this workout.

I normally wouldn't go to the gym for this type of workout since it's one I can do it at home, but I want to check my weight on their scale.

On another note... I believe I fell asleep for a hot minute in the bathtub last night. Not intentionally, obviously,  ;) and not for very long. I believe it was enough of a catnap though that it kept me awake until after 1 A.M. I slept until 11 this morning. It sure is harder to get get my body back to a day schedule after working those nights for 2 weeks. Hopefully, this body moves back to a day schedule soon. I don't like sleeping this late; it makes me feel like I've wasted my day and time.

{A good day after all}

Despite only having 2 hours of sleep, today was a good day.

I definitely woke-up Ms. Crabby Pants but the people at the drive-thru at McDonald's turned that attitude  around. They seemed so genuinely nice it just instantly put me in a better mood.

Work ended up being busier than expected so it made the time go by slightly faster.

I could pass out right now but I'm trying my hardest not to. I don't want to wake-up at midnight and then be up again for hours.

Another good thing today? I got in my F21 Rhinestone Necklace in today!!!
Don'tcha know as soon as I ordered mine it went on sale for 1/2 off! Ah well, $12 still isn't bad.  How cute is this?!

{Insane}

It's after midnight and. I'm. Still. Awake.

WTF.

Gonna be me at work in 5 hours.

{Just plain tired}

I'm not even sure I can begin to discuss how tired I was/am today.

I didn't sleep well at all last night. I slept like crap all weekend actually. I didn't stick to my eating plan all weekend and I think that played a part in my sleep pattern, or lack of one. I also felt crappy all weekend (except the 5K I ran, that was good).

Anyway, so 12 hours spent at a desk in a job that's boring amazingly exciting (cough), unless something breaks, makes for a pretty slow  an amazing day. ESPECIALLY if you're already exhausted.

I'm going to trust my body though and take it easy tonight.

I'm hoping I'll be passed out by 8 P.M.

*Oh and pssst... I've got followers* ;)
Thanks y'all!

{Virgin HealthMiles}

I {hate} that Lockheed Martin has gone to only using Virgin HealthMiles.

Gone are the days of gym reimbursements.

Now, I'm being {forced} to use this new program.

Why forced? Because the only way I can get extra monies for my health benefits is to participate.

I have to make a post once a day.

I have to wear the stupid pedometer that I always forget to wear.

I have to participate in challenges.

I have to create challenges.

I have to invite friends to join me.

I have to load said pedometer to my computer to load how many steps I've taken.

I have to watch people twirl their stupid pedometer to get more steps without actually being active.

People {CHEAT} using this thing.

Are they supposed to? No, but they do anyway.

I won't lie, I'm tempted to put it on my dog and take him to the dog park while I sit back and sip sweet tea.

Will I?

*le sigh*

No. I'm an honest person this way.

I'm already an active person. I go to the gym. I lift weights. I run. I elliptical.

"They" say that they've already seen an improvement in health, that people are going to the doctors less.

I went to the doctors a lot last year. What for? Pelvis pain that turned out to be 2 fibroid's on my uterus and tons and tons of sinus infections with ear infections and vertigo.

My activity level (which was very high last year) had nothing to do with what I needed the doctor for.

With the old method LM had (they still had VM but it was optional) gym reimbursement. I {loved} this because I could get in a GREAT workout at the gym, especially on crappy days.  I really dislike working out at home. In fact, I don't workout at home. I have so much less motivation to do so. I fast forward the parts I don't like, I sit back and watch the video, or I just don't do it at all. If I go to the gym, I feel the motivation from others being there and working their asses off. I feel like I'm being judged if I slack off. It makes me want to do more. I DO more.

At least we get an amazing gym discount through GlobalFitness.

So, if you do Virgin HealthMiles also, look me up. Nicole Vedros.

{Pay it forward}

Don't forget, I'm participating in
The first 5 people to comment with their email and blog address will receive from me, sometime in this calendar year, a gift - perhaps a book, a favorite recipe, music - a surprise! There will likely be no warning, it will happen when the mood strikes me.
 The catch? Those five people must make the same offer on their Blog.

Are you willing to join in and pay it forward?
