I guess you can say I have my own little Louisiana wall. I love it. I love Louisiana. I love the people (some of them anyway haha). I love the food. I love the history.
It's doubtful though that I'll ever live there again. I've kinda made a home outside of home. I miss my family. I'm hoping I'll be able to visit in February during my long break from work.
We left Louisiana when I was 13. My dad went active duty in the Army and his first duty station was Germany. We lived in Germany for 3 years before moving back to the states. I loved Germany but that's another post.
Columbus, Georgia became my next home and I lived there for 10 years. Georgia would be my next home away from home but, again, that's another post. ;-)
After 10 years in GA, I joined the Air Force and then Denver, CO became my next home. I'm still here (no longer in the Air Force) and I do love it. No matter what though, Louisiana will always be home.
I have little reminders all over the place. I can't seem to help myself.
Anyway, that's a little piece of me and what's on my mind this Saturday.
