{Good Morning, Beautiful}

 So, even though I didn't have the best sleep last night, I still woke-up feeling great this morning. Well, that is until my mom called. I'm not sure why but it drives me crazy that she calls when she sees things on the news about my area. I live in Aurora, Colorado, home of the theater shooting (geez it's already on Wiki). Anyway, so with any news here, or Denver, she calls. There was a recent hostage situation yesterday morning. It happened yesterday morning. I talked to her at 5:30 last night. She read the article this morning. You see why I may have been slightly annoyed? Anyway. Despite that happening first thing, it was still a good day.

I'm still eating well for #operationredbikini. I know that was my main thing for not losing weight. Even though I don't eat horrible, it wasn't the best either. So far today I've had 2 scrambled eggs with 3 slices of turkey bacon and half a serving of oatmeal with sunflower seeds and craisins. It was very tasty. That should keep me for quite a few hours. Part of my workout today will be some major cleaning!

I'm not sure if I've ever even really mentioned my story behind my weight gain. Honestly, it began after joining the Air Force 7 1/2 years ago. I was in decent shape for being 25. If I didn't drink as much as I did at that time I probably could have been in better shape, but that wasn't a worry of mine. So, at 25 years old I joined the Air Force and got into the best shape of my life. I went in at 125lbs and came out at 125lbs but lost 2 dress sizes! Crazy, right? It was great. I felt great. I never even thought about it. I guess that was always my problem... When you don't have to worry about your weight because you are forced to eat semi-decent and you work out 5 days a week.

Then I got stationed at my first (and only) duty station, here in good ole Colorado. Our schedule is called the "Panama" Schedule. Because we are a 24 hour type of operation, we work in 12 hour shifts. The days you work go like this: work Mon & Tues, off Wed & Thurs, work Fri, Sat, & Sun, off Mon & Tues, work Wed & Thurs, off Fri, Sat, & Sun. You also rotate every 2 weeks from days to nights and then back to days, etc. It's really a horrible schedule. I think anytime you have to work nights is horrible. It's not natural and my body hates it. I get so little sleep because I'm such a day person. Anyway, so that was my schedule and for the AF, our workout routine changed. You only had to attend mandatory PT (physical training) twice a week and then you could workout the rest on your own. Say what? So, I gained what I like to call the "Freshmen 10" since it was like being in college all over again, to include living in dorms with roommates (you share a common area and bathroom with 1 other person but have your own bedroom). So, in 2 years I'd gained those extra 10lbs, which still isn't too bad considering I'm 5'2".

Then this happened and it's all been downhill from there. Now, I'm working on still losing the weight from that surgery. I've not been very consistent until last year. Even then, I was more consistent but not 100%. I am DE-termined to lose this weight. I am 110% looking forward to CrossFit. I know it's going to be painful and I know I'll probably be hating myself as I'm doing it, but I've got the results to look forward to. As long as I can keep up with the eating right part of it, I know I'll be fine. Even with eating the way I use to, I still know I can lose weight, I just know it will be even better with eating better.

Because of my work schedule, I have to wait about 2 weeks before I can try out the CrossFit gym I'm interested in. The new schedule I'm going to better be eff'ing amazing.

Energy Bars I made last night
Quite yummy!
