Overall, my first night back on nights (5 PM-5 AM) wasn't too bad. I didn't sleep all that well going into but got a short 2 hour nap in and that helped.
I made it to the gym for a decent arm/back workout. Leaving the gym my shyness came out! A pretty good looking guy was walking into the gym while I was leaving. We made eye contact and he kinda smiled and I kinda smiled but then quickly averted my eyes and looked away. How ridiculous is that?! Ugh! That's another goal for this year: to work on my shyness in situations like that.
I got home in time to make some meals for work that night: egg muffins (with spinach, romano cheese, & minced garlic MMmmm Mmmm), leftover carrot soup, bacon/egg/spinach salad with homemade dressing, energy bar, and oatmeal
There was a lot of temptation at work tonight. Mostly it was junk food in the form of store bought cookies and snack cakes like oatmeal cream pies and such. Those weren't much of a temptation for me though. I can easily resist those. My coworker, however, brought in Qdoba. I {LOVE} their queso dip. I told all this to him and what's he do? Offer me some and when I decline he scootches his chair close to me and eats it close to me. What a jerk.
Then at 1 a.m. we start telling ghost stories. Great. Hopefully, I don't have any nightmares. Don't judge! I've been reading World War Z and, even though it's not a scary book, I've been having zombie nightmares.
Anyway, at about 4 a.m. I reached my final wall. I was in that quiet and extremely cold stage of sleep deprivations.
Muahahaha.
I think my brain's finally settling down and it might be time for me to turn in.
