So, many years ago I took 5 classes at UoP. It was all I could afford and the reason I switched from them. The company I worked for at the time reimbursed you up to $3000 for college. $3000 at the time should have went a lot further than just 4 1/2 classes. I was even more upset that only 1 class of the 5 I took transferred over to a "real" university. I've also heard that some employers won't accept degrees from UoP.
Talk about a waste.
Anyway, what started this rant leads into another rant. People I know going to UoP just to attend school in order to get BAH (Basic Housing Allowance from the military). They have said, "I have no interest in using my degree, so I don't care what school I go to."
What? Really? Are you kidding me?
Because of the new G.I. Bill, veterans get this BAH while attending at least 1 physical class a semester. Depending on where they live, it could be a LOT of money. For instance, once I begin school again, I will get $1635 a MONTH during each semester to pay for my apartment in Aurora, Colorado.
