{Fitness Fridays - On Saturday}


I'm linking up today with High Heeled Mama for Fitness Fridays - but on Saturday for me. ;)
What can I say? I passed out at 6:30 P.M. last night!

God, I can't tell you how much it annoys me to use that thing.

Anyway, to nag on the pedometer is not the reason of this post.
The reason of this post is to talk about  how I almost drowned tonight.

Yes, drowned.

Instead of my usual workout, I decided at some point later in my day that I'd go for a swim after work.
I'd had my gym bag packed and in my car, ready to go... but for a normal workout. 
I also had to come home and, er... trim up a bit. Don't judge! I'm single with no one nothing going on at the moment. *sad, I know* I also had to get my swimsuit. Now, the swimsuit I use is a two-piece but a tankini swimsuit because Target had crappy one pieces the day I was looking. Also, the people at the pool gym are mostly weirdos who sit in the Jacuzzi and watch us swimmers. Gross. 

Anyway, so I decide to use the 3rd lane since a lady was already in the 1st lane and 1st lane is the one that has the easy walk-in steps. The 3rd lane just has the ladder. So, I'm not a natural swimmer. I 


being in the water, however. I've also never had lessons and I probably look ridiculous swimming.  Anyway, the 3rd lane, by the ladder is the deep end at 5ft deep. No biggie. I get in and the water is deliciously warm. I do a lap down the lane to the shallow end and do a lap back. Once I get close to the wall I turn and float on my back until I do reach the wall.

I forget for a moment I'm only 5'2" and when I put my feet down I, of course, immediately go under. Really, it was too funny. I try my hardest not to come up sputtering and look around to see if anyone's watching, laughing, and pointing at me. Nope. *whew* 

Seriously, I probably looked ridiculous but did my laps anyway. It was a really good 30-35 minute workout. I really don't know how long I did it for exactly, just that I started paying attention to the clock at 6 P.M. and got out at 6:35 P.M. 

Do my eyes look as red and tired as they feel?



Yesterday, I left work early and went straight to the gym. I got in a 20 min run AND leg workout.  It was definitely a good workout day.
